ABOUT

WEAll Scotland

WEAll Scotland, part of the global Wellbeing Economy Alliance, is on a mission to reshape the economy to prioritise human and environmental well-being. As one of the first national hubs, they unite over 100 diverse members—from grassroots groups to purpose-driven businesses—around a shared vision. Their focus is on policies that address fundamental needs and foster a thriving, sustainable future, moving beyond endless GDP growth.

Contribution of Mustardseed Trust

WEAll Scotland is the only network globally to unite governments, businesses, and nonprofits…

…in creating an economy that prioritises the well-being of people and the planet. This approach, measuring economic health by how well it serves people and the environment, aligns perfectly with our Founders’ vision of a care economy and regenerative food systems.

WEAll Scotland has grown to over 80 organisations and individuals, increasing their impact through advocacy and collaboration.

“We closely collaborated with a group of members, in particular MSP Sarah Boyack, on promoting the creation of a Wellbeing and Sustainable Development Bill in Scotland, developing joint responses to parliamentary consultations and co-hosting an event in the Scottish Parliament. This will allow the law around the wellbeing economy in Scotland to be further strengthened. The bill is currently out for public consultation.”

They actively collaborate with members to create briefings, host joint events, and boost their visibility through social media, strengthening the network’s reach and influence.

On November 22nd, 2023, they pulled off the Wealth of Nations 2.0 conference in Glasgow, drawing over 100 attendees from their diverse membership. The event was packed with keynote speeches, panel discussions, poetry performances, and lively roundtables.

The conference even saw participation from Scottish government ministers, showcasing the event’s significance and the strong support for a well-being-focused economy.
