Fazenda São Luiz is a multi-generational family farm based in São Joaquim da Barra, Brazil. Deeply connected to the land, they bring together educators and diverse groups to experience and learn from the cycles of nature. Their initiative, Mutirão Agroforestal, unites people around agroforestry and disseminates its practices worldwide.
Fazenda São Luiz is transforming local communities by teaching sustainable farming practices and fostering a deep connection to the land. Through workshops and collective initiatives, they are building a resilient, agroecological future.
Mustardseed Trust’s support has enabled Fazenda São Luiz to expand its reach and impact. With $15,000 in funding, they have hosted significant workshops, such as the tenth Agroforestry Workshop and the first meeting of the Support Network for Agroforestry Women in Pará. These initiatives have empowered local communities and promoted sustainable agricultural practices.
